Happy Friday!!!

I am so happy that it is Friday - this has been a long & busy week - too many events to attend this week which was not good for my cold or voice recovery. But today I may be realizing one of my all time dreams - to ride Colossus Backwards. I'm headed to Magic Mountain this afternoon in style (limo is coming to pick us up) and we are going to hit all the major rides. For the Halloween Event - this is I guess the only time they offer the Colossus Backwards. The rumor is Magic Mountain is closing and they land will be developed into Condo's. If you have ever gone to Valencia - I have no idea who would want to live out that way. So this may be my last trip before it closes.

Finally Caught Up

Palm Desert Living Zoo - It was about 110 degrees so even the animals were hiding:)

Crazy Busy Weekend

Had a very hectic Fri-Sun this past weekend. Work has been super busy & I've been sick this past week. I made things worse by going out Thurs night and losing my voice. Unfortunately as of tonight I still don't have my voice back - I have a full week ahead of me - and with a possible trip to Magic Mountain Friday I might gain my voice back just to lose it all over again.

My crazy weekend started Friday afternoon since I left work early to attend International Day @ Reggie's school. His class focused on Italy. Throughout the month they have been busy with learning about Italy and getting their class decorated for the festivities. Reggie now knows that Italy looks like a boot, has lots of water, and it is where you can find Pizza, Mona Lisa, and Gondolas.

After experiencing Italy it was time for some Halloween festivities. Fri night we met my sister's family at Disneyland for the night time halloween event @ California Adventure Park. They have various trick or treat stations throughout the park, rides, costume characters for photo ops, etc. Reggie has hit the important milestone of being above 42 inches which allows him to go on most of the rides (no crazy roller coasters yet) but unfortunately my nephew was shy of 40 inches even as we tried to get him to raise his chin up & slight tip-toe.

Sat AM bright and early we headed to the Cal Poly Pomona Pumpkin Patch. The kids had a great time loading pumpkins into the wagon and having ice cream to cool down from the IE heat. After pumpkins it was off to My Gym class. I was able to grab a quick pedi while Reggie was at his gym class.

Sunday morning is Reggie's Chinese Class which is conviently located inside a mall near Westwood. The mall is small compared to most malls but it is super kid friendly - it has a play area near the food court and 4 toy stores. So although Reggie's class is 1 hour, 20 minutes long - our stay at the mall is always around 3-4 hours.

As you can see my weekends is pretty much devoted to taxing Reggie around:)

I finally downloaded pixs from late summer to present so here's the latest pixs of Reggie.

BTW Rachel sent me a casting call for the Gap - they are running a contest to find a kid that will be featured one of their ad campaigns. I will be submitting Reggie's photos so if you see any that I should submit- give me a holler.

More Reggie Pixs...Sea World and Testing Halloween Costumes

Here is a picture of the kids testing out Halloween costumes. Although the Giraffe costume (a hand me down) is a little small for Reggie - he is insistent that he is a Giraffe for Halloween

We went to Sea World recently and this was taken while we were at the Shamu Showtime Picnic.

Reggie later spilled a bucket of popcorn and so for the duration of the show a huge crew of pigeons kept swooping in for food.

I had to post this to show how much Reggie has grown. This was us at Sea World (his first time) when he was a about 13 months old.

He is growing up sooooo fast!!!

Pixs from this weekend

Rachel - for those that don't know her is my ex-coworker & friend & girl on right- was in in town this past weekend. Reggie and I really enjoyed her visit and here are some pixs she took of Reggie and the crazy photo is one I took at the gallery next to Paco's Taco's - it has some very interesting art.

Rachel - Are you going to move into Mariner's Village or what - We will just keep you away from Hollywood Hills:)

Dragon vs. Lotus

I just found these images tonight - I think if I go with Dragon, this is the style I am going with. The lotus is pretty but I already have a rose on my ankle (don't ask me why) so maybe the dragon would be winner. Leave your comments and let me know what you think!

X-Mas & New Years in NY + Getting Inked?

So I will be back in NY Dec 23-Jan 1st - my flight is not till 8:30 PM Jan 1 so I am ready to par-tay like it is 1999. I will be working remotely all week but looking forward to catching up with whoever is around that week.

While I am in town I might get my 2nd tattoo - 13 years after my 1st. I think I am leaning towards getting a black chinese dragon on my lower back (something small & simple) or should I get something feminine like a lotus flower??? I've decided I need to keep this hidden since my parents and probably my sister will freak out - I know I am a grown woman but I am still worried about my parent's reaction plus Reggie asking for a tattoo as well.

Let me know if you what you think of my tattoo choice and if you have a place you would recommend I go to.

I now have to check if I still have a winter coat since I was not expecting to have to wear one this winter.

A Good Cause - CHOC

I'm not an early person and had to wake up at 5am for the CHOC walk at Disneyland this past Sunday (CHOC = Children's Hospital of Orange County). Although it was early I was excited to do the walk with my sister, nephew, niece, and Reggie.

It is a huge event and thousands of people participate each year. This was my second year doing the walk. Many people walk with signs in memory of a child they lost and I just am so thankful that Reggie has always recovered from his stays at the hospital and that he has not been hospitalized for almost 2 years now. Reggie stayed once at the Children's Hospital in Philadephia and and I am just amazed at the quality of care that you receive at the Children's Hospital vs. a local hospital's pediatric unit. That was the shortest stay Reggie ever had in any hospital and I know it is because of the wonderful staff they have. I'm sure CHOC is just as nice of a facility but I hope that I never have a reason to see it firsthand.

Are there different classes of Paparazzi?

So I was at Mr. Chows tonight for dinner with an online publisher (side note: food was so so but I had an amazing 30 year old port) and when we were leaving there was a few paparazzi hanging out in front of the restaurant. I think it was the first time I saw Paparazzi up close. I did not see anyone famous at the restaurant -the only thing we did see were really old men with really young girls and lots of fake boobs, oh and one asian chick that purposely did her eyemake to make it look like she had an eye lift. So these guys have to hang out at spots to make a living but it made me wonder are these guys newbies that were sent to Mr Chows on a Tuesday night to capture D listed folks??? There wasn't anyone famous at the place although there were whispers that Rose McGowan might be there but can you imagine standing outside all night waiting to take a possible picture of Rose. The paparazzi veteran must be assigned to Nick, Lindsey, Nicole.

I don't know why I am so amused to witness paparazzi in person -maybe I've been reading to many US Weekly- ok it's late I am going to bed

(one last side note/vent: This is what sucks about LA - the traffic is absolutely unbearable - it took me an hour to drive 5 miles - distance confirmed by mapquest - 5 miles)

Commitment Issues

I know what you all are thinking and No I'm talking about relationship commitment issues ( I have none of those) but commitment on where I will live the next 5-10 years. The reason why this is stressing me out is because Reggie will start elementary school in 2 years. Why am I thinking about this now - because I have to decide soon if I am going to send him to public or private school. If I do the private route I will have to start applying next Fall - and I will be tied to this school and the area I am living for at least 5 years.

Most of you know I tend to change jobs every 2-3 years and in Manhattan it was easy, you just change your train route. In LA this could potentially add 1 hour or more to your commute if you pick the wrong side of town. So I am starting to stress (alot) about this.

I thought my move to Cali was permanent or at least for the next 5-10 years but now I'm starting to waiver. I think I have heart palpitations when I think that I might be at the same company for 5 years and that I don't have the flexibility as I use to.

But I looked at craigslist at manhattan apartments and that started to deflate my ideas of moving back. I need a 2 bedroom apt (even if its 600 sq ft) but Reggie needs his own space. All the apartments that were under $2500 and large enough was in Harlem. Nothing against Harlem but I don't want to live uptown -

So if you know if any great apartments or a suger daddy in NY - let me know.
