Love for the I.E.

I got the best e-mail the other day - for those of you who are familiar with the I.E. (Inland Empire for the non-southern cali folks) you would get a kick out of this:

Mattel recently announced the release of the improved limited-edition Barbie Dolls

She comes with an assortment of Kate Spade Handbags, a Lexus SUV, a long-haired foreign dog named Honey and a cookie-cutter house. Available with or without tummy tuck and face lift. "Chino Hills Barbie"
This yuppie Barbie comes with your choice of BMW convertible or Hummer H2. Included are her own Starbucks cup, credit card and country club membership. Also available for this set are Shallow Ken and Private School Skipper. You won't be able to afford any of them.
"Pomona Barbie"
This recently paroled Barbie comes with a 9mm handgun, a Ray Lewis knife, a Chevy with dark tinted windows, and a Meth Lab Kit. This model is only available after dark and must be paid for in cash (preferably small, untraceable bills) .unless you are a cop, then we don't know what you are talking about.
"Upland Barbie"
The modern day homemaker Barbie is available with Ford Wind star Minivan and matching gym outfit. She gets lost easily and has no full-time occupation. Traffic jamming cell phone sold separately.
" San Bernardino Barbie"
This Barbie now comes with a stroller and infant doll. Optional accessories include a GED and bus pass. Gangsta Ken and his 1979 Caddy were available, but are now very difficult to find since the addition of the infant.

Goldfah RIP

Our beloved goldfish "Goldfah" passed away Wed Feb 7th. Goldfah was more than a year old and was purchased at a pet store on 14th street. He traveled from NY to Philly and CT before he settled in Marina Del Rey.
We (Reggie and I) had a private funeral for him before he was flushed out of our lives. Reggie reminisced about Goldfah and his black fish (Mike - he still remembers the black fish) and we both hope that they are now together in fish heaven.

Catch Up

I can't believe it is February already - I'm sorry I have not been on top of updating this - work has been hectic again and that always seems to affect how frequently I update.

Before I forget Happy Chinese New Year or for Jia - Happy Lunar New Year.

The last 2 months I have been just busy with work - since Q1 is so important it has been non-stop lunchs/dinners & meetings. At one of these dinners I did have 2 star sightings - Serena Williams and Donald Faizon (Clueless & Scrubs). What was really exciting about seeing Donald Faizon was that he was with CaCee Cobbs (Jessica's Simpson ex-personal assistant).

I also made it to Vegas for the weekend and had a fab time. Going to Vegas is so different now then going when I was a little girl. Back then the coolest hotel to stay at was Circus Circus and we would pile in the car and take the 4 hour drive to Vegas. Now no one can stand the traffic and I have to say the 45 minute flight to Vegas is lovely - First time staying at the Venetian and loved the rooms. Highly recommend the spa at Mandalay Bay. My only disappointment was that we could not get a reservation for High Tea - who knew high tea was in such demand. Found out after the fact that K-Fed was at Tao the same time we were. I got back from Vegas and was sick for several days. I have to rest up since I will be going back at the end of March (luckily it will be at a resort outside of Vegas).

Reggie is doing great - he's learning all the various states right now at school - they even sing a song about the states and his favorite toy right now is a wooden state puzzle I bought him for christmas. We've done some fun things the last 2 months - a field trip with his school to the Zimmer Children's Museum in LA and Legoland. Once I figure out how to get some of my pixs from my cell phone I will post them here.

My biggest dilemna is where to have his birthday party - can't seem to decide. Right now it's between a super-hero party or a Mad Science party.

My last big news is I think I am planning to settle permanently in LA for awhile - I'm contemplating on buying a place - and in a week or 2 I will know if it is moving forward. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and will let you know if I have a new address:)
